FIVE GIRLS ASSISTED

Lions Club of Moshi Kibo handing over a cheque (amount unspecified) to Mr. Nurdin, the Care-Taker of five girls who are all suffering from HIV/Aids disease. The short yet very meaningful ceremony took place in Moshi (Tanzania) recently. Second from left is President Julian Jones and second right is guardian of the five girls.

MOSHI: Four years ago, Lions Club of Moshi Kibo adopted five orphan girls who are suffering from HIV disease and they are still being looked after by the club.

The club gave a donation (amount not specified) to the Guardian of the girls Mr. Nurdin who has been looking after the welfare and education of the girls. The donation will help in paying school fees and the general up-keep of the girls.

A delegation, composed of Zone Chairperson Lion Balraj Matharu, President Julian Jones and Past President Navraj Bhamra handed over the cheque to the guardian of the girls.
