GOVERNOR'S UGANDA TOUR BEGINS

GULU: District Governor's first lap tour of Uganda began with the official Charter Presentation to the newly formed club, Gulu Metropolitan Lions Club.

The solemn induction ceremony of the 21 new members was carried out by Chief Guest, District Governor Lion Wilson N. Ndesanjo and the Installation ceremony of newly elected office bearers was done by the Immediate Past District Governor Lion Joseph W. Kiwanuka.

The Board of Directors meeting was conducted with the presence of all the high dignitaries and according to the procedures, some question-answer session was conducted.

KUMI: The District Governor paid his official visit to Kumi Central Club where he conducted a joint session of BOD meeting with all the members.

A newly constructed residential house costing US$ 7,500/= was officially handed over to a lady who normally takes care of children.

The Governor planted a seedling at Ilukori Girls Secondary School and in all five hundred plants were handed over by the club to the school. Members conducted talks on Health Guidance to the students and talked mainly on the dreadful disease HIV/Aids and how to lead a good citizen life. 

SOROTI: The third club to visit was Soroti Lions Club at the club's own premises popularly called the club house.

Four new members were inducted by the District Governor. The Governor was taken to the Children's Play Park which was created by the Lion's Club as a community service for the people.

The Governor is scheduled to visit Busia Lions Club on 20th August (Tuesday).
