LIONS QUEST IN JINJA, UGANDA

Lions Quest Programme in Uganda conducted a teachers training workshop in Jinja on 8-10 August. The event was hosted by Lions Club of Jinja and Lions Club of Iganga.

Forty teachers from eight secondary schools along with Lions and Leos from the two clubs participated and assisted in conducting the three days workshop.

The Lions Quest Trainers conducted the training programme efficiently and turned out to be a great success. The Trainers are Lion Yunia Lwanga and Lion Tush Naturinda assisted by Chairman of Lions Quest, Dans Naturinda and assisted by Ln. Jacob Bukenya.

Teaching materials including 800 books were distributed to kick-start the programme.

The Area Education Officer presided over the closing ceremony and promised to give full support to the programme which is conducted at international level. The Education Officer requested for more involvement of schools in this programme.
