DAR ES SALAAM: The Governor's Banquet which was organized on Sunday 1st September at the New Africa Hotel in Dar es Salaam has been postponed according to the Cabinet Secretary Lion Kishore Simzia.
The Cabinet Secretary said that according to the important events in the Islamic Calendar, some members have confirmed that they will not be able to attend the banquet and instead will be opting for the religious gathering.
Lion Kishore Simzia added that the attendance will be poor and hence the next date and venue will depend on the outcome of the meeting to be called by the Region Chairperson, Lion Happiness Nkya. Meanwhile, the District Governor Lion Wilson N. Ndesanjo is out of Dar es Salaam (now in Moshi) attending to his other official duties.
