LAND FOR L.C. IGANGA

IGANGA: A ninety three years old Ugandan, Mr. J.B. Isabiriya, on purely humanitarian grounds donated a twelve-acre land for use by Lions Club of Iganga for the people.

District Governor Lion Wilson Ndesanjo and First Lady of the sub district, Florense accompanied by top leaders of the club visited the Donor as a courtesy after learning of the good gesture of donation by the dedicated good samaritan.

It was learnt that the Donor in his olden days, had studied at Makerere University and had the chance to know Tanzania's Father of the Nation, Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, the First President of Tanzania.
The Governor (centre) took time to meet the Donor of 12-acre plot Mr. J.B. Isabiriya ( in white shirt) and his wife and thanked him for the humanitarian gesture of gifting the land to Lions Club of Iganga. The Governor was on his club visitation programme in Uganda recently.
