GOVERNOR VISITS ARUSHA

Arusha, Tanzania: District Governor Lion Wilson Ndesanjo and First Lady Florense visited all the 42 Lions Clubs in Tanzania and Uganda, the last visitation being in Arusha.

The Governor's entourage visited Mt. Meru Club in Arusha where a hectic programme was prepared by club leaders and district officers. The Governor met the Deputy Mayor of Arusha and held friendly and common issues of interest both for the Lions and in the interest of the country. 

The Governor participated in the distribution of food in the Eye Ward of St Elizabeth Health Centre and later at Plaster House where children are recuperating from corrective surgery. Sixty boys and girls are at the Plaster House, some undergoing plastic surgery due to burns and injuries. 

A grand banquet in honour of the Governor and his First Lady Florense was held later in the evening where the PDG/PMCC Lion Shem Bageine who is also a Minister for East African Affairs attended the banquet. The President of L.C. Moshi Kibo Julian Jones and PDG Himat Shah and several District Officers were also at the banquet.

Two new members were inducted by the Governor at the banquet.
