Soroti: A fund raising event was held by L.C. of Soroti at a dinner party jointly held with Rotary Club of Soroti Central and Soroti Regional Referral Hospital. The aim was to raise funds to kick-start the first phase project estimated to cost UShs. 125,000,000/= or estimated US$ 36,764/.

The project is expected to start on November this year if sufficient fund is raised by Lions or donations from Good Samaritans and NGOs. The function was attended by Chief Guest MP, Hon. Mike Mukula of Soroti Municipality. A total of 234 guests attended.

Amount raised was UShs. 5,183,800/ or US$ 1524/. Pledges were US$ 14,014/70.

Moshi: L.C. of Moshi Kibo held a leadership training seminar for all the lions who attended the Governor's Advisory Committee meeting for Zone 111 at Moshi, kilimanjaro Region.

The main topics elaborated at the seminar were PST Training and Lions Fundamental facts.

The seminar was also an re-orientation for old members who had the opportunity to review their basic knowledge of Lions Clubs International and functions of the clubs etc.

Fellowship after a day's hard work accomplished during the leadership training spearheaded by 2nd Vice District Governor Lion Rizwan Qadri and actively participated by Multiple Councuil Chairperson Lion Wilson Ndesanjo.

Refreshment for those who attended the Eye Camp at Singida, an up country town in the centre of Tanzania.
