"SEE & SMILE CAMPS" IN MOSHI

Moshi, Tanzania: The eye and dental camps being held in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region was reported to be progressing well having recorded attendance and treatment of 611 eye patients and 175 dental patients.

The President of the host club (L.C. Moshi Kibo) Lion Inderjit Singh Rehal sent a message from Moshi that 30 surgeries were performed by the volunteer doctors from Belgium. A large team of doctors, optometrists and officials from the See & Smile NGO from Belgium are here in Tanzania to perform free treatment under the auspices of the Lions club.

Doctors and nurses of Mawenzi Regional Hospital are also involved in the week long eye and dental camps which are being conducted in three districts of Kilimanjaro Region.

Doctors from "See & Smile" NGO from Belgium working under the auspices of Lions Club of Moshi Kibo as partners in the free eyes and dental camps in Kilimanjaro region. A team of twenty doctors and optometrists are providing free voluntary service for seven days in the  three districts of Kilimanjaro Region.

Eye check-up being conducted by doctor and optometrist at Moshi. A total of 611 patients are reported to have registered for free check-up and treatment at the end of 2nd day. On the left in red jacket is one of the volunteer from Lions Club of Moshi Kibo.

Preparatory session just before the take-off of the free "see & smile" camps now being held in Kilimanjaro Region in Tanzania. The volunteers have come from Belgium for a free service including provision of free medicines and reading glasses. Thirty surgeries were reported to have been performed by doctors.
