FIRST APPEARANCE OF 2ND VDG

DAR ES SALAAM: Second Vice District Governor Lion Haiderali Gangji was at the Governor's Banquet, his first public appearance after 66 days of medical observation and treatment in Mumbai, India. As usual, he was well dressed for the banquet and accompanied by his spouse, Lady Nimira, who was at his bed side in hospital all along.

Governor Willy Ndesanjo stood up to welcome back his deputy and added to the delight of his listners that "now you look even better than ever before". He advised him to follow his doctor's prescriptions and rest well and gain strength to continue with his duties.

With a broad smile he told the undersigned: "I have lost some weight since I became sick but now I feel stronger than ever. I think I am well looked after."

Many Lions at the banquet were delighted to see Lion Haiderali in good spirit and he moved from one table to the other shaking hands with members.

Immediately after the induction of twelve new members by the Governor, two people appeared to be overjoyed, the Membership Development District Convenor Lion Abdul Majid Khan (PDG/PMCC) and Lion Haiderali Gangji who holds the portfolio of District Chairperson for Tanzania in this committee.
