MZIZIMA DONATES FOOD & TRICYCLES

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: Lunch for three hundred patients at the Ocean Road Cancer Hospital was provided by Lions Club of  Dar es Salaam Mzizima and in addition to this project, a patient was given TShs. 120,000/= to pay for the cost of treatment and medicines.

Every month on a Friday, the club provides lunch to patients at the hospital which is Tanzania's largest cancer hospital situated along the Ocean Road facing the Indian Ocean and next to the Tanzania Government's State House. Provision of lunch is a long term project of the club.

In addition to this project, on the same Friday the club provides soft drinks and cakes & biscuits to the street children who gather at an open playing ground for a game of soccer. 

The Secretary of the club, Lion Bhavin Sonigra said that a total amount of TShs. 470,000/= was spent on lunch and entertainment for street children.

The club also donated three tricycles for the Msiwari Orphanage Centre in Arusha through Lions Club of Arusha. The cost of the tricycles was declared as TShs. 900,000/=
