THE NEW CLUB GETS CHARTER CERTIFICATE

The first project of the newly chartered Lions Club of Ntungamo, a bill board wishing motorist safe journey from Ntungamo to Kabale. Chief Guest District Governor Lion Wilson Ndesanjo witnessed the ceremony to erect the bill board.
A gift for the District Governor Lion Wilson Ndesanjo from Region Chairperson Lion Eleanor Bageine  during the Charter Certificate presentation ceremony of the new club, Lions Club of Ntungamo in Uganda.The Governor presented the Charter Certificate to the President of the club, Lion Rwegasira. 

NTUNGAMO, UGANDA: Governor Lion Wilson Ndesanjo said that whenever Lions Clubs get together, problems get smaller and the community gets better. He expressed his views during the official presentation of the Charter Certificate to the newly opened club, Lions Club of Ntungamo in Uganda. This is the 42nd club in the sub district 411B comprising Tanzania and Uganda.

One latest example is presentation of aid of US$ 500,000/ to Phillipine which was badly devastated in the heavy rains and storm which claimed thousands of lives and made people homeless. The presentation was made by Lions Clubs International.

The Governor in his speech said that Ntungamo has given the district another pride for opening a club. There were twenty Charter Members and three more new members who were all installed during the ceremony. 

Governor Willy Ndesanjo praised the Sponsor Club Mbarara and spoke highly about the Past District Governor Wilson Tumwine, Fr. Vincent Mchunguzi, Lion Benson Katate and Lion Dr. Ndamira for jointly working in establishing the club.

He noted that as at today the sub district had on record 1154 members, short of 100 more to cross the thresh hold of 1250. The main goal of the Governor is to open at least four new clubs in Uganda and Tanzania before end of this Lionistic Year.
