DISTRICT GOVERNOR VISITS ARUSHA CLUBS

Arusha, Tanzania: District Governor Lion Wilson Ndesanjo accompanied by the First Lady Florense Ndesanjo visited clubs in Arusha and participated in several projects conducted by the clubs there.

The club organized a project of distributing bed sheets (200pcs) at the Mount Meru Hospital and the dignitaries led by club President, Lion Stella Klemann assisted to spread the bed sheets on the beds in the Paedetrician Ward of the hospital.

Lion Club of Arusha conducts regular services at the hospital which include distribution of food and holding Christmas parties for the patients and staff members. 

The entourage of the Governor also visited Kibowa Orphans Centre where they distributed 50 pairs of shoes for school children. One notable project was a long term project which was regular payment of fees for a young child who has now grown up with an ambition to finish his college education. School fees and other facilities were provided by the club to the school pupil.

During the Governor's visit, four  new members were inducted into the club.
