FOOD & MEDICINE DONATION

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: Lions Club of Dar es Salaam Central under the direction of club President Lion Shakil Ansari donated food and medicines costing TShs. 900,000/= to Ocean Road Cancer Hospital and street children in Dar es Salaam today (Sunday 29th December).

Almost a dozen Lion Members and six volunteers managed the project during lunch hour time at the hospital. Some patients who could not pay for the medical bills and medicines, were assisted cash Shs. 450,000/=.

Zone Chairperson Lion Moez Bakari and District Officer Lion Zahira Patwa were among prominent Lion Leaders who attended the function.

Club Secretary Lion Jitendra Makwana also played a leading role in distributing food to the street children who were in the vicinity of the hospital on Sunday morning.
