Dar es salaam, Tanzania: The long term project of distributing lunch, donation in cash to patients at the Ocean Road Cancer Hospital was held recently by Lions Club of Mzizima.
Club Secretary Lion Bhavin Sonigra sent the information that TShs. 450,000/= was spent on providing lunch to about 250 patients at the cancer hospital which is the largest cancer hospital in Tanzania. The Mzizima club holds every month such a project and also entertains children, particularly street children who gather at open fields to play a game of soccer.
A patient was also assisted TShs. 100,000/- for paying bills for medicines.
Twelve Lions Members from the club including two Chinese Nationals volunteered to conduct the project.
