PROCESSION TO SUPPORT "WORLD DIABETES DAY"

Kabale, Uganda: A huge rally within the township of Kabale in Uganda, was held to mark the World Diabetes Day and thereafter a free-for-all,  blood-sugar checking was conducted for members of the public.

Lions Club of Kabale joined the huge procession and marched along carrying the club's banner from the starting point at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital through the town and finally at the main stadium. A good number of people stood in the "Q" for free check-ups and health officers offered medical advice regarding the disease Diabetes.

The procession included staff members from health centres,primary and secondary schools pupils, members of the Lions Club of Kabale, district office and some high ranking officers from the Ministry of Health.

Lions Club of Kabale participated with the community of Kabale, Uganda to observe the World Diabetes Day and hence also demonstrated the Theme of the Governor "Unity in Service".
