WORLD LEO DAY 5TH DEC.

Arusha, Tanzania: Past Cabinet Secretary Lion Manish Chawda who is also Convenor for LEO Clubs in Sub District 411B has urged all Lions Clubs to mark the LEO Clubs Day on Thursday 5th December. He has earnestly requested clubs to organize special events to celebrate as Lions do to mark other events.

He said: " Every day millions of children around the world miss out the joy of childhood. Instead of playing with toys and developing their full potential skills, they face difficult circumstances as they face poverty and malnutrition, illness, abandonment and disabilities.

He mentioned some of the projects LEO Clubs or Lions Clubs can organize in their respective areas as:

(a) Collecting food and clothes for local; street children.

(b) Developing play grounds.

(c) Implementing tuition programmes.

(d) Visiting children in hospitals.

(e) Raising funds for immunisation programmes.
Lion Manish Chawda has urged Leo Clubs and lions Clubs to mark the International Leo Day by organizing projects for the children. This photograph was taken when the Lions Club of Century in Arusha visited an orphanage centre and distributed food for the children. The youth on right suffered burns and is now undergoing special grafting surgery in Arusha.

Lion Manish Chawda has mentioned a "Special Award" which will be given to a Leo Club or a Lion Club for putting up a good programme on the International LEO Clubs Day
