CHARITY WALK BY L.C. MOSHI KIBO

The begining of the project: Governor Lion Wilson N. Ndesanjo laid the foundation stone for the multi-million construction of a dormitory for students of Msandaka Lions Deaf Centre in Moshi, Kilimanjaro recently.
Moshi, Tanzania: A charity walk within the township of Moshi will be held on next Sunday (16th Feb) by Lions Club of Moshi Kibo. The funds collected will assist the club to build a dormitory for students of Msandaka Lions Deaf Centre.

The club expects an estimated income of  TShs. 16,000,000/= or nearly 16,000:00 US$ from well wishers and donors in the form of sponsorship for Walkers. 

Msandaka Lions Deaf Centre is a special school for primary school boys and girls and over the past several years it has proved itself to be among the top schools in the region of Kilimanjaro. The club's next mission is to construct premises for secondary school and hence the need to have a dormitory for students who are now on the increase.

Apart from efforts to collect financial assistance from local donors, the club is also being assisted by foreign donors such as Lions Club of Ijsedal Tervuren, a Belgium club which been very close partner to the club. 

Recently during the club visitations of  District Governor Lion Wilson N. Ndesanjo to Moshi Kibo, he laid a foundation stone for the dormitory.

The club has earned an international reputation for this special school and is ranked among the top special school in the country.

Club Secretary Lion Varinderpal S. Bhamra has appealed for local assistance and requested for big number of participants. Meanwhile, he sent in a message and stated that Club President Julian Jones has handed over a cheque for TShs. 235,000/= or approximately US$ 150;00 to a Form Four Class student Miss Candida L. Sangawe of Rau Secondary School.

She is one of the five students who are being helped by the club.
