EYE CAMP AT NEWALA

Newala, Tanzania: Lions Club of Dar es Salaam Mzizima held a mega eye camp at the remote town of Newala, south of Tanzania where hundreds of people attended the camp and were given free eye-check-up and free medication including cataract surgery.

The rush was so immense that the team of nine Lions took another extra day to treat the patients who came from remote villages where medical treatment (free) are difficult to get. The team led by club President Lion Mustafa Kudrati was expected back in Dar es Salaam today (Monday 17th Feb).
