On the second day of the exhibition, it was attended by Chief Guest, the Past President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Alhaj Ally Hassan Mwinyi, Minister Hon. Samwel Malechela, the Mufti of Muslims in Tanzania, Hon. Alhaj Idi Simba, eminent guests including representatives of various religious sects.
Prominent Lions leaders who were invited by the Aga Khan Council for Tanzania included Governor Wilson Ndesanjo, First Lady Florense Ndesanjo, PDG/PMCC Lion Abdul Majid Khan and his Spouse Lady Parveen, Cabinet Secretary Lion Kishore Simzia and his Spouse Lady Renuka, Region Chairman Lion Happiness Nkya, Chairman of Amani Club Lion Usman Khan and his Secretary Lion Shofiudin Babul and Blogger of the Governor's Blog Lion Abdul Hai.
The exhibition titled "RAYS OF LIGHT" elaborated pictorially and supported by historical facts and quotations from Holy Quraan, depicted the 50 years of His Highness the Aga Khan's commitment to improving the human condition throughout the world.
His humanitarian work has benefited all, regardless of gender, race, religion or nationality. And as it was rightly described as "an exhibition is but a glimpse of that dedication".
His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV is the 49th hereditary Imam (spiritual leader) of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. He acceded to the Imamat in 1957 at the age of twenty.
Continuing his forefathers' long-standing tradition of Muslim leadership and service to humanity, the Aga Khan devoted more than 50 years of his life towards upholding the dignity of man. He has worked on promoting peace and stability and worked towards the common good of all peoples, regardless of their origin or religion.
