CHARITY WALK RAISES MORE FUNDS

Moshi, Tanzania: A ten-kilometer charity walk organized by Lions Club of Moshi Kibo raised TShs. 17,500,000/= which will finance development projects of Msandaka Lions Deaf Centre. This is a special school for boys and girls suffering from difficulty of hearing and talking.

The charity walk was flagged off by Past District Governor Lion Himat Shah who also joined in the ten kilometers walk. Prominent among the walkers were founder of the Lions Club of Moshi Kibo veteran Lion Gurdial Singh Rehal, Lion members of the clubs in Moshi and primary school kids. 

The Sunday morning weather appeared to be agreeable to all the walkers and many said that it was a very enjoyable exercise for a good cause.
The old and the young spent their Sunday morning by walking ten kms and raised 17,500,000/= TShs or nearly US$10,000: which will be used in the development of the Msandaka Lions Deaf Centre. On the extreme right is President of the Lions Club of Moshi Kibo Lion Julian Jones.

The club has embarked on a project to construct a dormitory for the Msandaka Lions Deaf Centre and very soon, a secondary school will accomodate students who did well in their primary school final examinations.
