ANOTHER NEW CLUB IN UGANDA

Mbarara, Uganda: District Governor Lion Wilson Ndesanjo and First Lady Florense flew from Dar es Salaam to Entebbe just to conduct the Charter Presentation ceremony to the newly formed club, Lions Club of Mbarara Central.

This is the third new club chartered in Uganda, in line with the Governor's Major Goals which is formation of at least two new clubs in Tanzania and Uganda. The new club has 31 new members and is spearheaded by President lion Dan Namanya Takwetsire.

Mbarara town's attractive hotel, Lake View Resort Hotel was thronged by not less than 125 Lion Members and their families who included Region and Zone Chairpersons and presidents of various clubs from Kampala. 

Earlier before the Charter Ceremony, a procession of Lions and members of the public winded through the main street of Mbarara. The Governor and other senior Lions planted one hundred tree seedlings in line with the call for environment protection.

Congratulatory messages poured from various clubs and senior Lions who included Multiple Council Chairperson PDG Lion Polly Karimary Ndyarugahi and PDG/PMCC Lion Abdul Majid Khan.
