"WELL DONE BUT......." PDG KHAN

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: All the District Officers and Club leaders in Tanzania and Uganda have been congratulated for working hard in bringing in new members 187 but the realistic picture was that 131 members dropped from membership.

The words of congratulations came from the GMT Leader Lion Abdul majid Khan who is also the Past District Governor and Past Multiple Council Chairman in Sub District 411B (Tanzania and Uganda). He noted, after  circulating his usual monthly "health assessment of membership statistics" circulars to all Lions that the net gain was only 56 new members which reflected 5.10% of new members gained so far.

The six clubs, four clubs in Tanzania and two in Uganda, which were classified under the red ink as in danger of being cancelled were revived except for one club. The only club which has been cancelled is Lions Club of Arua (Uganda). Therefore, so far, two new clubs were chartered this Lionistic Year which brought the total number of members to 1154.

GMT Leader Lion Abdul Majid Khan says "well done" to all club leaders but says we have to improve the number of new members by the end of  this Lionistic Year. (Picture from archive).
The club which was cancelled has resulted in a loss of 34 members.
