At the Mayor's Parlour, Zone Chairperson Dr. Hussain Hassan carried out the name by name introduction of all the delegates. District Governor Lion Wilson N. Ndesanjo spoke at length about the numerous projects being carried out by Lions Clubs (43) in Tanzania and Uganda. He emphasized on various humanitarian projects such as water supply, health check-ups including cardiac surgeries being done in urban and rural areas.
International Director who is a Congolese National and an Attorney by profession, explained about the set-up and membership of almost 1,340,000 Lions scattered throughout the world. He presented his personal Friendship Banner, a Lion's lapel pin and a plaque from Lions Club International. Governor Lion Wilson Ndesanjo also presented his Friendship Banner and Lapel pin to His Lordship the Mayor.
His Lorship Mayor Dr. Didad Masaburi reciprocated by thanking the delegation for the courtesy call. He appreciated the good works being carried out by Lions Club in the country and urged them to continue with the humanitarian works.
