ISAAME, the short form of the Forum for India, South Asia, Africa and Middle East countries will be held from 5th to 8th December in this tourist attraction capital of Nepal. The mountainous region with the rich cultural style of of living of the inhabitants are all part of the visit to the forum.
International President Barry J. Palmer will also be there to participate in the three-days event of the ISAAME Forum.
Governor Willy Ndesanjo has requested all the Presidents and Secretaries in his district (Tanzania-Uganda) to convey about the programme to their members. The programme will include educational training of lionism, a mini cricket tournament, Lions Quiz contest, art of public speaking etc.
For the Lions in Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and the Seychelles all enquiry, payments and applications should go to the recently appointed Brand Ambassador of the forum Lion Shehzan Lohar. He is currently stationed in Nairobi, Kenya.
"Give one child a gift of light" is a campaign put across by International Director Lion Sangeeta Jatia. She explained that due to the mountainous region, with hilly terrains in the towns and villages, the supply of electricity appears to be a big challenge to the Nepalese. Hence, the quick and easy solution to help a student to study is to provide a solar light which costs only INR 500/= or US$ 8 per solar light per student.
Participants or Leaders who will contribute minimum 100 solar light will be honored by International President Lion Barry Palmer.
Lion Dr. Manoj Shah (PID/PDG) and a popular person not only in Eastern Africa but in international Lionism and business circles, will contribute US$ 3,000/= from Nairobi. This will be for the "give one child a gift of light".
