"WORLD SIGHT DAY" IN DAR ES SALAAM

DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA: The "World Sight Day" was observed in Dar es Salaam with almost five kilometers procession, two days of free-for-all Eye Camps, free distribution of reading spectacles and further treatment sixty people with cataract problems. The official opening ceremony was performed by Tanzania Minister for Health & Social Welfare Dr. Hussain Mwinyi.

The "World Sight Day" was a team work of about eight prominent NGOs, Hospitals, Regional Commissioners Office, Standard Charter Bank, Brien Holdens Institute, Religious Societies and spearheaded by Lions Club of Dar es Salaam Pwani.

The "World Sight Day" banner is self explanatory being held by Club President of L.C. Pwani Lion Pushpa Shah (R) and Club Secretary Lion Sayed Rizwan Qadri (L). This picture was taken after an exhaustive 5 kms procession from the Standard Charter Bank to Mnazi Mmoja grounds, venuw of Eye Camps.
