SEVEN SCHOOLS PARTICIPATE IN PEACE POSTER CONTEST

The world-wide Peace Poster Contest this year with the theme "OUR WORLD, OUR FUTURE" was organized by Lions Club of Dar es Salaam Mzizima with involvement of seven schools based in Dar es Salaam and Mwanza. The best art work of the students were selected and presented with certificates and prizes by the club through the Chief Guest Lion Sarah Qadri, in charge of peace posters contest.

The award giving ceremony and get together was held at the Alliance Francaise in the city centre where the best two applications turned out to be Joseph Bisanda of Academic International Primary School and runner-up Ananya Jain of International School of Tanganyika.

The schools which participated were Academic International Primary School, French School, Atlas Primary School, International School of Tanganyika, Don Bosco Primary School from Mwanza. 

The President of the Mzizima Club, Lion Mustafa Kudrati had all the reasons to be contended with choice of the best performers and the large turn out of school children and Lion Leaders at the Alliance Francaise on last Saturday afternoon. 

Lion Mustafa Kudrati thanked the Convenor of the programme lion Saifuddin Nagri who has been handling this portfolio for the last four years, coordinator of the event Ernest Mtaya and Judge Frank Yustard of Dar Art Youth (DAY), all the participating school and the Chief Guest Lion Sarah Qadri.
